This Bordeaux blend is a pure example of Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County. Our goal in making this blend is to showcase a food friendly wine that will be easy to drink, yet have the complexity and nuance that will make you think. The layers in this wine are abundant and develop gorgeously as the wine open in the glass. Flavors of black currant, cassis, and cocoa burst on the palate with silky and supple tannins that make this wine very versatile. The finish is marked by extended flavors of plum and black cherry and a lingering acidity that makes this wine a perfect pair for everything from pizza to steak.

The goal was to make a unique blend that showcases an approachability of spice, fruit, and depth but still an easy drinking red blend that you will not need a PhD to enjoy!

This wine is a great on its own but pairs beautifully with grilled meats, barbeque, and pizza. The tannins are well integrated making the texture of this blend very silky and the finish hangs around with flavor cocoa that lingers.

The grapes came from meticulously farmed, small family owned vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley and the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County. The grapes were picked in mid-September 2014 at a perfect level of ripeness and sugar acid balance. The wine was aged in a blend of new and used French, Hungarian and American Oak to impart a good hint of oak.
